Ikab Bawal Goreng Kicap


Dah 3 hari this ikan bawal stayed in my freezer. Next week we are balik kampung for the school break. I guessed elok aku finishkan whatever yang ada dalam freezer, kang rosak pula nanti. Along can't wait to balik kampung to see her grandmom. Usually ikan bawal ni I'd choose to masak kari. But I don't feel like having some curry today. I had a few choices actually, Bawal Masak Taucu, Bawal Steam, Bawal 3 Rasa, or paling sempoi Bawal Goreng Biasa. I asked along to choose. By the way, Along didn't go to school today. Yesterday my husband's uncle passed away at 3pm. So we rushed home (Sg Bakap) at 7pm and we managed to reach there by 9.30pm. Meet all the relatives, read some Quran, recite some doa and we left at 1 am. Hubby was so tired and sleepy so he stopped a few times at a few R&R to get some nap. And we finally reached home at 4.30 in the morning. I thot I could be able to wake up at 6 am, but we only can open our eyes at 7.45am. And that was the reason why Along ponteng school today. Back to the Bawal choices, Along then had chosen Bawal Goreng Kicap. Kids, they always choose something with kicap. Sometimes I wonder, why kids like soy sause so much huh? Tak der lauk lain pun tak per just ikan goreng and soy sos would do for her. Easier for me tasty for her.....kan senang!


IKAN BAWAL GORENG KICAP

Untuk ikan:
1 ekor ikan bawal - cuci
1 cm halia - tumbuk
1 cm kunyit hidup - tumbuk
2 biji bawang putih - tumbuk
sedikit garam
Minyak untuk menggoreng


Untuk Sos:
2 ulas bawang putih - dimayang
1 biji bawang besar - potong bulat
1 cm halia - dimayang
2 camb sos tiram
2 camb kicap pekat
2 camb kicap masin
2 camb kicap manis
1 biji buah tomato - belah 4, hari ni aku kehabisan tomato so aku ganti dengan air asam jawa
Minyak untuk menumis
1/2 cawan air


Hiasan
Daun sup - hiris
Daun bawang - hiris
Cili merah - hiris serong

Cara-cara:

1. Tumbuk halia, kunyit, bawang putih dan garam. Lumurkan pada ikan dan digoreng dalam minyak penuh hingga ikan garing. Angkat dan toskan.

2. Panaskan minyak, tumis bawang putih, bawang besar dan halia hingga wangi dan perang. Masukkan semua jenis sos dan kicap dan sedikit air. Masak hingga mendidih. Rasakan manis masinnya dan dimasukkan buah tomato. Sos jangan masin sangat sebab ikan sudah dilumurkan dengan garam.

3. Angkat kuah kicap dan tuangkan ke atas ikan. Hiaskan dengan daun salad, daun sup, daun bawang dan cili merah.

4. Boleh dimakan dengan nasi. Kalau hari malas atau sibuk sangat, lauk ni dah cukup coz dia dah berkuah. Senang dan practical :)
