Indonesian Walnut Butter Cake with Fresh Strawberries

Assalamualaikummmm..hahaha kek lagi kan...hari-hari kek laaaa mieza ni...gemuk la kakakka...gasak la kan...demuk pun demuk la...naik malas dah nak diet ni..rasa rugi kalau nampak ood yang sedap tidak dijamah huwaaaa...excuse orang makan banyak memang gitu ahakkkssss



Ekxeli kan..mieza buat kek ni sebab ada banyak walnut yang dok lam peti ais tu mieza takut rosak...beli banyak-banyak pastu tak wat apa-apa nanti takut rosak rasa sayang pulak...maka mieza pun godekla resepi kek yang berasaskan walnut..dan terjumpa la resepi ni kat umah Ayu Singapore nun...mieza tak mau story pepanjang..sebab busy..komen mieza...tak rugi mencuba wehhhhhh!




INDONESIAN WALNUT BUTTETR CAKE

Ingredients:
250g Butter
200g sugar (I reduced to 150g)-(Ayu also used 150g, me too)
4 eggs, separated
200g Plain/cake flour-(Ayu used 190g +10g to mix walnut & chocolate chips)
4g baking powder
30g chocolate chips-(Ayu used 60g +20g for topping)
150g walnuts-(Ayu used 100g + 20g topping)
vanilla essence (optional)-(Ayu used this)
fresh strawberries and chocolate ganache for deco- mieza added

Method:


1. Prepare and line a 9-inch cake pan -(Ayu used 8"pan)
2. Chop walnuts and lightly toast in an oven for about 5 minutes. Be careful not to over toast it.
3. Sift flour and baking powder. Set aside.

4. In a large mixing bowl, cream slightly softened butter with half of the sugar using an electric beater until light and fluffy.
5. Add egg yolks, one by one and cream and cream till well mixed.

6. Add in flour mixture slowly (You may use a wooden spoon manually or if you are using an electric beater, to use low speed). Set aside.
7. In another mixing bowl, beat egg whites using an electric beater. Add the other half of the sugar slowly and continue beating until the egg white reaches stiff peaks (When you lift the beater, the tip droop slightly, and beaten egg whites becomes stiff and shiny).
8. Add toasted nuts and chocolate chips into the cake batter.
9. Fold in beaten egg whites into the cake batter, in two to three additona, until egg whites is well-incorporated into the batter.
10. Pour batter into prepared pan.(Ayu sprinkled some walnuts & chocolate chips on top) Bake in preheated oven at 160C for about 50 minutes to one hour (I used 45 minutes).

  5. Camana pulak indonesian walnut tu mieza...cheq sue ni kalau walnut rasa macam xleh nak masuk aje... tapi yang pelik kalau dah guna dalam kek ke sedap pulak ya
