Nasi Mesir


Beras basmati sekarang dah mahal ye? I remember 7 years ago, i used to buy some basmati rice at Pasaraya Lian Pang (opposite Tg Malim wet market) for only RM3.70++ per kg..yesterday i went to Tesco and it cost me RM8/kg..paling murah la..yg more expensive pun ada..cepatnyer harga barang naik..2-3 days ago dh masak nasi minyak..takkan nak nasi minyak lagi today..flapping my ol recipe book, i came accross this recipe..dah lama i tak masak nasi ni..nasi mesir ni rasa dia lain skit coz ada rasa jintan dan ketumbar..



NASI MESIR

2 gelas beras basmathi - cuci dan toskan
1/4 gelas minyak sapi
2 gelas air sejuk - untuk masak nasi
1 gelas susu cair
1 inci kulit kayu manis
1 kuntum bunga lawang
3 kuntum bunga cengkih
1 camt lada hitam
1 camt serbuk pati ayam
2 biji buah tomato - dipotong dadu
Daun ketumbar


Bahan giling:
6 ulas bawang merah
4 ulas bawang putih
1 inci halia
1/2 camb ketumbar
1/4 camb jintan putih
1/4 cam jintan manis

Hiasan:
Hirisan daun pudina, bawang goreng, badam panggang, kismis etc

Cara-cara:

1. Panaskan minyak sapi dalam periuk. Tumiskan bahan giling, kulit kayu manis, bunga lawang, bunga cengkih dan lada hitam hingga wangi dan garing.

3. Masukkan air dan biarkan hingga air mendidih.

4. Masukkan beras, susu, tomato, serbuk pati ayam, daun ketumbar dan garam. Letakkan sedikit kunyit untuk warna kuning jika suka..saya tak letakkpun..kira warna original jer..Tanak nasi macam biasa.

5. Semasa menghidang taburkan hirisan daun pudina, hirisan cili, bawang goreng dan badam panggang.
