Nasi Tomato Berempah

A friend of mine requested a recipe 0f tomato rice of my version. At first I thot of giving her the usual recipe of tomato rice, but that recipe can easily be searched in the internet. Finally i came up with this type of tomato rice. I cooked this yesterday. As usual I'd leave for Shah Alam every Sat, so I thot this would do for my family to eat for dinner. But I didn't have much things in my freezer except some beef, last sekali after pikir tenth of times, tomato rice was finally and successfully produced. Tapi pasangannya bukan ayam masak merah, coz there was no chicken left in that 'big cold thing' in my kitchen. So I pair kan the rice with Daging masak rempah, a lil acar, but I tak sempat nak buat air asam. Time was running out coz it was almost 12 noon and I had to be in Shah Alam before 2pm. Tak cukup accessory my tomato rice today. But i still write the air asam recipe here, cuma no picture je. Kena imagine la how my air asam looks like.

NASI TOMATO BEREMPAH

5 pot beras basmathi- sometimes aku pakai beras biasa je, especially bila malas nak gi kedai
1/2 tin susu cair
2 camb rempah kurma
2 camb butter/minyak sapi
1/2 tin tomato sup - aku pakai brand kimball cos heinz yang aku selalu pakai tak de kat kedai yang aku visit tu.
3 camb tomato paste
1 camt garam
Air rebusan ayam- sama banyak dengan sukatan beras

Bahan A
3 biji buah keras
5 biji badam biji
1 bawang besar
1/2 camt jintan manis
1/2 camt jintan putih
1/2 camt ketumbar
1/2 camt lada hitam

Bahan B
2 kuntum bunga lawang
5 biji buah pelaga
1 inci kulit kayu manis
5 kuntum bunga cengkih
3 ulas bawang merah - dimayang
2 ulas bawang putih - dimayang
2 cm halia - dimayang

Hiasan
Bawang goreng
Kacang pea
Daun bawang dan daun sup - dipotong halus

Cara-cara:

1. Bahan A digiling hingga lumat. Beras dibersihkan dan ditos.

2. Panaskan butter dalam periuk, tumis bahan B hingga wangi dan bawang keperangan. Kemudian masukkan bahan A yang telah digiling dan rempah kurma. Masak hingga wangi dan garing.

3. Masukkan tomato sup, tomato paste, dan susu. Kacau sebati. Masukkan beras dan kacau hingga beras sebati dengan rempah.

4. Masukkan air secukupnya, sedikit garam dan jangan lupa tekan button pada rice cooker. Biar sampai masak.

5. Bila dah masak, terbalik terbalikkan nasi dalam periuk supaya ia lerai (relai?) . Bila menghidang taburkan bahan hiasan. Nasi tomato memang sedap dimakan dengan ayam masak merah dan air asam.


AIR ASAM


1 biji bawang besar - dihiris
2 biji cili merah - dipotong
5 biji cili api - dipotong
Belacan - sebesar ibu jari
2 camb kerisik
2 biji buah tomato - dihiris
3 camb air asam jawa
garam gula
2 camb air limau nipis

Semua ini digaul bersama hingga sebati. Proportion setiap satu ingredients actually depends on taste orang yang membuat. Sukatan di sini cuma cadangan. :) (Pic will pe posted next time)

hehehe.....aritu kak as tepon suruh ambik nasi kat umah dia sebab i yang request suruh masak nasi tomato tu. ok, sodap, anak i luqman pun makan sehingga menjilat jari. mai la sama-sama kita mencuba.tq to kak as.

Lin, try la masak nasik ni, jangan takut mak mentua komen, komen yang membina tak pe. Kalau saiful tak suka nasi ni ko masak la nasik putih sepot kat dia wakakakakaka. Dia just nak manja-manja tuuuuuu
